Pink Lights Switched On For Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Landmarks In The Pink For Breast Cancer's Pinktober

As Pinktober comes to an end, Huffington Post UK looks at the landmarks that were illuminated in pink to show their support.

Major cities put on a display of international support for Breast Cancer Care as some of the most historical pieces of architecture symbolically beamed messages of hope and empowerment.

Both 10 Downing Street and Selfridges illuminated London while Edinburgh put Jenners in the pink.

The Obamas came home to a flushing White House and the Empire State Building gave a rosy tint to New York skies. Even Rio De Janeiros Christ Redeemer showed off a pink glow.

The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign launched its most ambitious global outreach campaign to date in celebration of the 12th anniversary of its Global Landmark Illuminations Initiative. More than 200 landmarks were lit worldwide.
