Maxine Carr, the former girlfriend of Soham murderer Ian Huntley, has reportedly given birth.
Carr, 34, served 21 months in prison after giving Huntley a false alibi after he murdered 10-year-old schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in 2002. The couple lived together in Soham, Cambridgeshire, where Huntley worked as a school caretaker.
Since her release from prison, Carr has been under police protection and an anonymity order, and no details of her location, her baby or her partner can be made public. The order will also extend to her child as he or she grows up.
The Daily Mirror reports that Carr gave birth at a secret address earlier this year. It also reports she has miscarried babies with different lovers since 2006.
