We never thought we'd see these two ladies hanging out together but yesterday, Sarah Jessica Parker joined Liz Hurley and her partner Shane Warne for a day at the races in Melbourne. Of course, this kind of celebrity combination makes for a serious style showdown and as we hoped, Hurley and Parker went head to head (quite literally) with their racing attire.

Parker completed her flamboyant daytime look with a silver coat, a pearl necklace and a rather insane hair do, accessorised with a very sparkly hair clip. Showy, chic and everything we'd expect from the Sex and the City star.
However, whatever SJP can do, Liz can do better. She teamed her white shift dress with a giant, orchid fascinator that towered above everyone else in the box. Over the top? It makes Parker's hair look quite normal.
