Former X Factor Hopeful Sacked For 'Sexual' Online Photos

A former X Factor contestant, who worked as a prison teacher, 'mesmerised' young inmates with her saucy work attire, an employment tribunal has heard.

Faye Bray was excluded from the jail where she worked after "sexualised" images were posted on her website. Bray is also alleged to have worn see-through trousers, revealing a tattoo on her thigh, and signed her emails 'Barbie Shagwell'.

But the 30-year-old, from Wolverhampton, West Midlands, who appeared on the X Factor in 2009, claimed on the second day of her tribunal in Birmingham today that an inmate could not possibly see the tattoo because it was 'on her bum'.

Bray, claims unfair dismissal by Manchester College, which provides services to Brinsford jail in Wolverhampton. She also claims sexual discrimination.

Governor Stephanie Roberts-Bibby told the hearing that Bray had put herself in a position where she would be vulnerable and her post as a teacher at the prison was "no longer viable".

The hearing continues.
