Remember how beautiful the Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2012 collection looked when it hit the catwalk in New York a few months ago?

Well it wasn't just the fashion editors that were lusting after it. It has been announced that the complete Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2012 collection has been stolen.

The Marc Jacobs press office confirmed that the clothes were on their way to a press day at the brand's store in London when they were stolen from a train leaving Paris.

The Telegraph confirmed that the following email was distributed to guests that were due to see the samples in all their glory tomorrow.

It read, "The Marc Jacobs PR team is sorry to inform you that our press day tomorrow in the Marc Jacobs store is cancelled, due to the theft of the spring/summer 2012 collections during its transfer from Paris".

We're still trying to work out how someone managed to run off with the full collection in their hands. One word of warning to the thieves... watch out for the fashion pack.
