Kim Kardashian spent $65,000 on three jade and diamond Lorraine Schwartz bracelets previously owned by Elizabeth Taylor during a record-breaking auction of the late actress's jewellery.

According to TMZ Kim purchased the lot believing that "jade harnesses energy" and that "now she owns the bracelets, KK feels she will share a deeper connection to the Hollywood icon."
Kim's $65,000 (or rather $64,900, as the auction website more accurately reveals) was a good $57,000 over the highest estimate price and contributed to the auction bringing in over $115 million in total.
