Jamie Oliver has won the celebrity chef Christmas bestseller battle for the second consecutive year with Jamie's Great Britain, which sits on top of the bestseller chart reports the Bookseller.

The one-man cooking brand sold 59,156 copies at UK booksellers last week, making it his fourth time on top of the Christmas charts since 2000.

Jamie was given a close run for his money by the Guinness Book of World Records which sold only 3,764 less copies than the artist formally known as The Naked Chef. Novelty book Where's The Meerkat was the third bestselling title.

The chef's remarkable achievement of back-to-back Christmas victories was last replicated by another kitchen heavyweight Delia Smith in 1998 and 1999.

While Oliver's popularity seems to know no bounds, the rest of TV land's celebrity chefs were left floundering in his wake. Check out our round up of their efforts below.

The one-man brand and healthy eating crusader has become almost as ubiquitous over the past 13 years as some of his ingredients - potatoes, say. Or water. As such, he's become the most bankable celebrity chef in Britain - something acknowledged by supermarket giants Sainsbury's who have used his cheeky chops to advertise their shops since 2000 (though they finally part company at the end of this year).

His latest book out just in time for Christmas is 'Jame's Great Britain'. Such is his devotion to government policy reform (see his much-aped school dinners campaign), you might expect this to be some sort of political manifesto outlining how we can be a nation of celery-chomping super humans. In fact, it's a celebration of our native cuisine and the ways in which it has been improved by other cultures over the years, featuring (another) 100 of his favourite recipes.
