Kym Marsh, 'Coronation Street' Star, Hits Out At 'Daily Mail' Readers

'Corrie' Star Hits Out At Public

Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has said she feels judged by the public for having fun.

The star, who is currently promoting her Channel 5 documentary about young mothers, has hit out this week at readers of the Mail Online for commenting too harshly on her private life.

Speaking to New! magazine about if she feels judged for being a young mum, the former Hear'Say star said: "No I don't but I still get judged by people because of what happened on Popstars.

"I have to explain it again and again. And I still get judged for having a life."

Kym was criticised for her appearance on 2001 talent series Popstars during which she was accused of lying about having children. The star explains that she didn't lie but instead decided to not to offer up the information.

"I didn't offer that information up in the beginning, because I didn't think it made a difference and then I was in the final 10 and I was like, 'Look, this is the situation'. They said it's fine.

"And then a few weeks later I got hauled up into the office and had this whole thing on camera with Nigel Lythgoe as if I had hidden this dirty little secret. So I became the person who lied about my child."

On her current life, Kym says: "I'm not allowed to go out and have fun! The Daily Mail readers love it. It's such a horrible website. People just go on there and slag everyone off."

Don't worry Kym! You work hard pulling those pints in the Rovers Return, we reckon you deserve a bit of fun!
