Sherlock Preview: Russell Tovey Joins Martin Freeman And Benedict Cumberbatch In The Hounds Of Baskerville (PHOTOS)

FIRST LOOK: Sherlock: The Hounds Of Baskerville (PHOTOS)

Steven Moffat's wonderful contemporary take on a Victorian favourite, which transported Holmes and Watson (Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman) into the modern day, reminded us what had been missing from our TV screens since August.

Last weekend Moffat's adaptation of Conan Doyle's Scandal in Bohemia turned into somewhat of a scandal itself, after some viewers were left disturbed by the sight of actress Lara Pulver, playing self-described 'recreational scolder' Irene Adler, completely naked apart from high heels and diamond earrings, tantalising Holmes and brandishing a whip - all nearly half an hour before the 9pm watershed.

However, scantily-clad women are left behind for episode 2, titled The Hounds Of Baskerville, which airs on Sunday. Pictures have been released from the second episode showing a slightly lost looking Watson and a rather terrified Russell Tovey who plays Henry Knight.

Henry begs Sherlock to investigate his father's 20 year old murder by "a gigantic hound". This takes Holmes and Watson an ultra-secret army base that looms over Dartmoor.
