If you want to ask a celebrity out on a date these days, it seems it's best to be in the Marine Corps.

Young singer Chelsea Gill, however, clearly thought that signing up was a step too far. Smart girl.

Instead, she recorded her request for a date with actor Jason Segel in the form of a song - and uploaded it to YouTube.

In her ditty, Gill assures the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star that she's "tested and disease-free" and asks him to "shamelessly listen to my plea" because he's "so f---ing hot" and she's "legal". Well, it's a great rhyme for "Segel", isn't it?

And what man could resist. Not Segel himself, it seems. He posted a link to the video on Twitter, saying: "My favorite thing, maybe ever. I am in awe. Response on the way". Swiftly followed by "I'm gonna need a couple days on this one".
