Beyonce has finally given birth to a baby girl.
The singer and her husband Jay-Z welcomed their daughter last night in New York.
The couple have given her the rather trendy name of Blue Ivy Carter and we have to say we likey.
There had been initial confusion over the name after it was reported the baby was called Ivy Blue, but showbiz pal Gwyneth Paltrow confirmed the name on Twitter.
Beyonce gave birth via a scheduled Caesarean section at New York's Lenox Hill Hospital, and is reported to have checked in under the name Ingrid Jackson.
As well as Gwynnie, other celebrity chums have also taken to Twitter to welcome the couple's new arrival.
Umbrella hitmaker Rihanna was among the first to celebrate Ivy Blue's birth posting , "Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih."
Twitter went in to overdrive as it was rumoured the singer had gone into labour on the 29 December, and later named the baby Tiana May Carter.
Beyonce first revealed her pregnancy at the MTV EMA's back in August and had been forced to deny rumours she was faking her bump after it was seen to collapse during a TV interview.
