Jennifer Ellison's Dancing On Ice co-stars have snubbed the former Brookside actress after claiming that she is getting preferential treatment whilst taking part in the show.
The skating contest was hit with a number of unexpected problems before it even hit television screens with various stars and professional skaters dropping out of the show due to injuries.
The show's schedule was altered in the beginning giving Jennifer and her partner Dan Whiston an extra week of rehearsals but when Jorgie Porter joined the show at the last minute she only had 48 hours of rehearsal with her partner Matt Evers and Sugababe Heidi Range was not allowed to switch her slot and perform in the second week when her partner unexpectedly dropped out.
"As a result they insisted Jennifer be given a bonus rest week and Jorgie kindly offered to swap weeks. But when Heidi's partner Sylvain pulled out through injury, she requested an extra week to bond with her new pro skater Andrei - and was denied permission."
This is surely going to set the cat amongst the pigeons!
The source added: "Jennifer is very much ITV's golden girl and it's not sitting well with everyone else."
However, a spokesperson for the show has tried to play down the tension between the stars, saying: "All the contestants appreciate the delay to Jen's performance was unavoidable because of an injury to her partner and there is no ill feeling."
