The Krankies' Janette Tough: 'I Stopped Eating After Sex Life Stories'

Krankies Star: 'I Stopped Eating After Sex Scandal Stories'

The Krankies star Janette Tough has revealed that she didn't eat for three days following revelations of their "swinging" sex life.

Pantomime legends Ian and Janette Tough, both 64, who soared to fame on children's TV show Crackerjack, spoke about their naughty nocturnal activities during an interview with BBC Radio Scotland's Stark Talk in December and confessed that they both slept with other people whilst on tour in their heyday.

In the interview, Janette said: "We weren't behind each other's backs. We knew what each other was sort of up to."

However, she has since revealed that she dropped a dress size through stress when she thought the confessions may end the couple's career.

"I went down a dress size in three days. I was worried about how it would affect our business.

"I did not want it to affect my work. I still went out on to the stage with confidence."

Husband Ian also revealed his worries over the outcome of the story, admitting that he didn't feel as confident as his wife.

He said: "When the story came out, I was standing in the wings shaking.

"I was shaking with a kind of fear, wondering what the reaction would be.

"When we made the first entrance in Glasgow, the place just erupted.

"A woman at the end shouted, 'Krankies, we love you'. It brought a tear to Janette's eye.

"Our audience take it with a pinch of salt."
