Jessica Chastain went with the current lacy trend when picking her dress for the Coriolanus premiere in New York on Tuesday night.
The actress, who plays Coriolanus' wife Virgilia in Ralph Fiennes' adaptation of Shakespeare's play, went for a black and grey look which married the red carpet lace trend with the trend for wearing a gauzy longer skirt over a shorter one.
We're not sure it does the actress any favours height-wise, though. She looks a good deal shorter than usual because of how it cuts off at the ankle. Add in the minimal make up and the straight-on pose and we're definitely losing the 'wow' factor somewhere along the line.
The shoes are a different story altogether - lacy peeptoe heels? We love.
