Comic Tracy Morgan has been taken to hospital after he fainted during an awards ceremony at the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday.

The 30 Rock star was honoured at the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards in Park City, Utah and reportedly fell unconscious outside the venue after giving his acceptance speech, according to TMZ.com.

An ambulance took the star to a nearby hospital for treatment and he was joined by his fiancee Megan Wollover.

The comedian's representative Lewis Kay has put the incident down to exhaustion and altitude sickness and dismissed reports which suggested the star had been drinking.

Kay says, "From a combination of exhaustion and altitude, Tracy is seeking medical attention... He is with his fiance and grateful to the Park City Medical Center for their care. Any reports of Tracy consuming alcohol are 100 per cent false."

Morgan, who suffers from diabetes, underwent a kidney transplant in late 2010.

I guess it's some form of "payback" for those "shoot my gay son" "jokes"(?); for a comedian(?) whose stand-up routine is riddled with anti-gay/homophobic remarks, he's been allowed far too many "second chances" and pardoned way too many times! If this were a case of anti black comments/jokes, it would be all over the news and the offender would never be allowed to live it down, re: Michael Richards, from Seinfeld fame. I say enough is enough and I'm beginning to wonder how his purportedly ultra-liberal co-stars on 30 Rock (Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin,etc.) can condone his behavior by continue working with him "staus quo"!

I am a full suporter of a "leveling of the playing field", wherein all groups would be deemed as equally deserving of a pre-determined level of consideration, whether it be high or low, just keep it equal!
Please understand that it is not my intention to suggest that this behavior and hypocrisy is limited to or particular only, to blacks; with regard to comdeians, it seems to be demonstrated with more frequency while with sports figures, there is a disproportionately higher ratio of blacks and other minority players, thereby creating a higher number of individuals condoning this behavior.

The woman who gave him that kidney, wasn't she the woman he use to date, then left her right after the kidney transplant. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Karma is a bi&*h

Come on, really?! Altitude sickness, maybe, but exhaustion, give me a break. People who have regular back breaking jobs and work 8-12 hours a day are the ones with exhaustion. It's always a celebrity that passes out or faints because of "exhaustion". I guess it's a tough job to be an actor and get paid millions of dollars. I'd probably pass out too after I received my million dollar paycheck, knowing wow, I get paid this much and not even have to break a sweat.

I hope Tracey Morgan is well and he has a quick recovery. Everyone who has left such negative and appalling comments what is wrong with you people would all of you like to be wished ill will when your sick how does this society not have any empathy. He has Juvenile Insulin Diabetes- The Worst Kind of Diabetes to Have..
-Have to take Insulin Injections Just to stay alive, let alone Eat and Take the right amounts or You can go into a Comma
-Most live the ave of 10-15 yrs Less than Reg. Diabetics and -20yrs less than Non Diabetics.
-most have Very Difficult times Takig care of themselves , let alone are able to Get and Keep Decent paying jobs..

As long as the person Doesn't Steal or make $ illegally? He/She has my support..

Be it In corporate America Jobs, PORN or Being a Low Life Comdey person!

I do not care for Mr. Morgan, as a talent. However, there are a lot of no talent folks making lame comments about something they know nothing about. BTW. High altitude is a sneaky problem. I wish you well, Tracy.

Just because he is not funny, overpaid and as some say - funny looking. Doesn't mean that you feel bad for a guy who collapse after an awards ceremony. I do feel bad for anyone that, that happens to. What is sad is the fact that we (me as well) click on these stories and read the post.
