Bruce Jenner Learnt About Kim Kardashian Split On The News
Bruce Jenner has revealed he heard about step-daughter Kim Kardashian's split from husband Kris Humphries on the news.
Kim shocked fans when she announced she had split from basketball star Kris after just 72 days of marriage and despite walking her down the aisle, step-father Bruce was not one of the first to know.
According to America's OK magazine, Bruce said: "Actually, I found out she was getting divorced by hearing about it on the news and stuff. I was like, the last to know. But I could hear telephone conversations in other rooms happening and I knew something was up but I didn't know it was that bad until after."
The former Olympic athlete admits he likes to steer clear of the Kardashian clan's love lives claiming he prefers to let love take its own course.
"You don't get involved in love. Just hope for the best," he said. "I have given them advice through out the years, but in this particular case I kept my mouth shut."
Probably very wise, Bruce.
Despite not being told about Kim's sad news first, Bruce still praised the reality star and offered her reassurance.
He said: "Kim, she's really such a great, great kid. She's always been that way. Smart, intelligent, extraordinarily hard-working and I hope nothing but the best for her.
"I just said, 'Just continue. You're going to take a lot of heat for this. Just continue to be the same good person you've always been.' And I think she has and I said, that's about all you can do right now."
