A man has been shot and killed in north London.

The incident happened near the Tube station Turnpike Lane.

According to Scotland Yard, police were called following reports of a shooting in Langham Parade at around 3.30pm on Wednesday.

An air ambulance was called, but Scotland Yard said the man, believed to be in his mid-30s, was declared dead at the scene.

According to the police, the man’s next of kin are being sought.

One person has been arrested. Police are appealing for witnesses.

Reported by the BBC, the Metropolitan Police confirmed that it is the second fatal shooting in the capital this year.

According to Transport for London, Turnpike Lane Tube station is open.

In recent years and many many similar shooting incidents in the UK, these shootings have always involved black youths and drugs - surely instead of avoiding this due to PC rubbish, we should be coming clean, admitting it and moving forward to finding a solution! Wonder if I can I be prosecuted for stating facts :/

Labour banned all handguns in a knee jerk reaction to the Dunblane tragedy. Had the police done their jobs then (and there is no greater fan of the police than me) it would never have happened. The truth is, as usual, it wasn't thought through, it was a political tool; no more. Did any of them seriously entertain the idea that criminals would not carry - and be prepared to use - guns because they were banned?

You read of a shooting and it seems the norm now, getting more like New York every day and who is repsonsible for the killing need we say. Better now you might be called a racist.

I read somewhere that TRIDENT will have it's name changed because it highlights a certain situation, which has become embarassing for the PC walleys and those who want to hide the truth of the joys of multiculturalism.
