David Beckham leads a privileged life but it seems fame, talent and good looks don't make you popular after he revealed he only has three friends.

When they first moved to Los Angeles, Posh and Becks were greeted by a number of A-list stars including Tom Cruise but the footballer's circle of friends appears to have significantly dwindled.

Speaking to the American version of Men's Health magazine, he said: "I've got friends at the different teams I've played for, but family is the most important thing to me.

"That will always be the case. I've got my wife. I've got my four kids. I've got parents, grandparents still, and three really good friends."

Family man David, who recently launched the Bodywear underwear range for H&M, won't have to worry about adding to his friends and family as he's open to having more children in the future.

Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show recently, he said: "We might have one more or two more, you never know. We're not thinking about it yet, but if it happens, great. We're enjoying the kids as it is. It's always a thought. I mean, we're busy people and we're enjoying the four kids that we've got already and we're lucky, we're lucky to have four healthy children."

Whilst David may not count most of Hollywood's elite amongst his closest friends, he can apparently rely on Tom Cruise who recently revealed he would like to see Golden Balls star in an action movie.

According to the Mirror, a source said: "David has been linked with Hollywood a number of times but Tom is the only one he'd ever take up, he thinks Tom's a legend.

"He'd still like to have a sporting element to it. Tom's a sporty guy, too, so any collaboration would be about something competitive."
Mission Impossible star, Tom, said of David: "He would make a great baddie."

I don't like his eyes, I don't like his mouth, I don't like his voice, I don't like his tattoos, I don't like his bandy legs, and I do not believe all he says . He kicks a football, does this give him licence to voice his opinion with profit the top priority?

The MEDIA is his best friend and the reason for the unjustified financial success of this mediocre footballer and his talentless wife.

Like many others in the public eye they have been elevated by hype and exposure way beyond reason and those who contribute most to society and their neighbours and to their fellow human beings are left in the shadows.

The sooner these people are removed from the front pages, in fact from all pages, the better.

Shows how much trust is the most important thing in his life. I would too if I was him. He's got friends all over the world, but the ones that can be trusted with his life is only 3 people, and I would say he's got more than I got! Having friends is not about popularity, but about who you can trust most with your life. Being famous and rich as him just makes it more difficult for him to find REAL friends. Good for him for having not only one, but 3 friends he can count on!

I'm amazed Beckham can count up to three, clearly his counting is way better then his football.

I think that sort of number applies to most genuine people - I only have two really good friends, the rest are only acquaintences. By the way, Beckham is a really nice chap, very genuine.

If he has 3 friends that's not bad. The maximum number people can normally manage is about 5 or 6 at any given time, and that is FRIENDS and NOT acquaintances which can number hundreds. That is a distinction not well understood by most people as we see all the time on social networking sites.
