Ready for another cold snap?
Forecasters say that the UK could be plunged back into Arctic conditions after a brief respite from the freezing temperatures that caused travel chaos across the country last week.
Unlike last week's Siberian winds which affected the east and south worst, this time it will be the north that will bear the brunt.
After a mild and cloudy few days, the Arctic squall is set to descend on northern Scotland over the weekend, gradually moving south into England.
The Met Office has issued a blizzard warning for parts of northern Scotland which will take effect on Friday until 9pm on Sunday.
"Sleet and snow showers will become frequent and heavy at times over the north-west Highlands during Saturday, with significant accumulations away from the west coast," the Met Office said.
"In addition, gale-force winds will result in temporary blizzard conditions over higher ground.
"The public should be aware that this is likely to cause disruption."
Forecaster Netweather also said that a band of cold rain will sweep across Scotland from Thursday, and that by the weekend a "cold snap" could result in snow across the region.
Frosts are predicted on Saturday night, and snow will fall on Sunday before the weather turns mild once again.
Snow could also fall in northern England, the Met Office said.
Across the south temperatures are likely to remain mild, the Met Office said.
