Welcome to the world of Internet memes. And specifically: the latest Internet meme. By definition, it probably doesn't need much explanation - because it's everywhere. It's a meme. But we think it's at least worth mentioning how it started.
According to knowyourmeme.com, the first 'What people think I do/What I really do' chart was uploaded by artist Garnet Hertz on to his Facebook page earlier this month. (His is the 'contemporary artist' one in our round-up below.)
And naturally - because the Internet is nothing if not self-regarding - the idea soon caught on. Before you knew it, writers, musicians and even people in Non-Creative Jobs were creating their own versions of how people perceive their profession. Or even hobby, sexuality or lifestyle choice. Hell, there's even one for being Nicolas Cage.
