Victoria Beckham has confirmed a proposed Spice Girls reunion this year "isn't going to happen" because the singers are too busy.

Reports suggested the pop group would be reforming to perform at a concert in London this summer as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Beckham has revealed they were approached to play at the gig alongside stars including Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Elton John, but they were unable to accept.

She tells the Sunday Mirror, "The thing with the Spice Girls is it was so flattering to be asked to do the Jubilee. But we have lots on our plates and we are all so focused on the end of the year and Viva Forever, the musical. The Jubilee isn't going to happen. But the musical is going to be ­really great and we're focusing on that."

Thank goodness for that thought Victoria Beckham might be back on our screens - what a relief to find out she will not be. She should have been a show girl the ones that don't move but just pout. In the picture she looks like she has just done someones house - a cleaner. So no that was an insult to all cleaners.

To be fair, what has it got to do with her - she didn't actually do anything when with the Spice Girls - take a look at their first video, all the other four having singing parts, she does nothing but act badly, dance like an idiot and lip-synch like she's never heard the song before. I'm sure the others just haven't told her.

The pic of Victoria looks like quite a bit like Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Perhaps Victoria might consider an acting career?

Everything she touches seems to turn to gold.

I'm not sure anyone really believed it would happen - VB is far too busy with her family and fashion career, and Geri is trying to carve a serious name in designing for Next - it just seemed to be ideal for the ones who haven't really managed to continue their careers.

It only really became an option when Girls Aloud became doubtful, but they'll step up and sing, because their solo careers aren't amazing either. They are doing different things, and all have fan bases, but they haven't all reached the dizzy heights everyone hopes for and the Jubilee can only boost their fame.
