Once upon a time celebs would insist on chauffeur driven cars to cart them around.
But Rihanna seems pretty keen to buck that trend as she jumped on the London Underground with the plebs yesterday.
Whatever next? Cheryl Cole jumping on the number seven bus? Lady Gaga biking it in to work?
The singer hopped on a Jubilee line train to rehearsals for her Brit Awards performance at the O2 yesterday, journeying from her central London hotel to the North Greenwich venue.
Either that or she's watching her carbon footprint all of a sudden.
But while we're quite frankly shocked at Ri-Ri's very unshowbizzy behaviour, it isn't the first time she's taken the tube.
When she was late for one of her O2 gigs last year, the singer travelled in, errr, style on the underground then too.
Let's just hope she didn't forget to touch out.

Rihanna once said she didn't want to be remembered solely for her disastrous relationship with Brown, which makes their duet all the more sickening and bizarrely misguided. Expecting pop stars to be moral guardians is often wishful thinking but in taking Brown to court and rebuilding her life, Rihanna became a hero to many young women.
A lesson beautifully illustrated by Rihanna in the November issue of British Vogue, in whose glossy pages the singer reveals both airbrushed clavicles and a fondness for the word 'c---'. Not a bad choice for your favourite expletive, but there was one problem: she had no idea it was offensive.
The Brit Awards is an annually chastening experience for the collective egos of Britain. It's a costly humiliation highlighting this country's groundless arrogance. It's basically the Millennium Dome all over again, except hosted by James Cordon.
Did Rihanna's character regret killing her assaulter? Or was killing him was the right thing to do? That was a cold-blooded premeditated murder when there was no threat against her. If that video were the whole story, the woman portrayed would end up behind bars.
