And that was exactly the case for BFFs Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria last night, when Posh stepped in to protect her pal's modesty.
Wearing a dangerously low cut LBD, Eva was just moments away from a nip slip, and as the pair posed for a photo, quick-thinking Victoria grabbed her boobs to stop the world from seeing a little bit more of the Desperate Housewives star.
Posh was supporting her mate in more ways than one at the bash hosted by Vanity Fair and Chrysler on behalf of The Eva Longoria Foundation at the actress' Hollywood restaurant Beso.
Posting the snap on Twitter Eva wrote: "My beautiful girl @victoriabeckham supporting me @vanityfair."
It was a rare night off for Posh as she took a break from baby Harper to let her hair down with her gal pals Eva and Kate Beckinsale.
And it looked like Victoria was hoping it would be a large one too, as before she rocked up at the event, she tweeted a picture of herself putting her face on.
As the evening went on she and Eva hit the dancefloor as they downed some vino and threw down some moves.
Wonder if there is a sore head casa Beckham today?
