WHO: Lutz Huelle
IN A NUTSHELL: Huelle described the influence behind his Autumn/Winter collection as the moment when you watch someone cover up during sudden burst of rain. With jackets pulled up over the head, coats firmly belted up and the most practical heels we've seen in Paris so far, Lutz took protective dressing to a whole new level.
BEG, BORROW OR STEAL: Aside from the smocked leather wedge ankle boots, we were amazed by the Alpaca cardigans which doubled up as coats and the tailored trousers worn with A-line smock-style tops in lightweight silks.
VERDICT: Lutz's A/W show was dark in colour and functional in style, with a serious nod to sportswear and a lesson in the art of draping. Yet the layers of coats, zips and belts played with proportions in a subtle way and added volume and structure to a collection which sent out a simple message: wrap up warm next Autumn/Winter.
