William Cheong is looking for love. Unfortunately for the 43-year-old actor, his appearance has proved a turn-off for would be suitors. That’s because 5ft 4in Cheong is a dead ringer for dead dictator Kim Jong-Il.
“I’m single and have no children and I would love to meet someone but looking like Kim Jong-Il doesn’t help, as you can imagine,” he told The Sun.
“It’s great for my sideline as an actor but not very good for my love life.”
Cheong from West London had hoped the communist leader's recent death would have led to a change of fortune on the dating scene. But his uncanny similarity to the murderous North Korean tyrant has proved too much for the ladies.
“William is a lovely guy who has a great job supervising a hotel and a lovely house - all he needs is someone to share his life,” said a friend of the despotic-faced singleton.
The former North Korean leader died last year December, aged 69. He was succeeded by his son, Kim Jong-Un.
