In the run up to London 2012 you can expect to see a fair few sporty fashion stories - who better than to kick off proceedings than the Duchess Kate was in coloured jeans and a grey hoody paying a visit to the Olympic Park where she joined in a stick-about (like a kickabout but involving sticks) with the Great Britain men's and women's hockey teams.
It's good to see that, instead of just posing prettily with a hockey stick or nodding and playing with her hair, Kate wasn't afraid to get stuck in (although we're not sure why the hockey ball seems quite so hilarious to the Duchess).
We'd also like to add that the Duchess should have stuck to the sportswear for the duration of the visit because her styling for the rest of the visit had a distinct "inspired by British Airways cabin crew" vibe about it!
Looks like Kate might have heard our opinions of her off-pitch outfit - she turned up at the Dulwich Picture Gallery a short while later wearing this grey Orla Kiely dress:
