Demi Moore Looks Unreal In Helena Rubinstein Ad Campaign

The Huffington Post UK  |  By   |  Posted: 19/03/2012 11:38 Updated: 19/03/2012 11:41

Demi Moore will want to forget the last few months ever happened after splitting from her hubby Ashton Kutcher and being admitted to hospital, all of which left the actress looking gaunt and tired.

But the 49-year-old is looking super healthy (not to mention half her age) in the new ad campaign for Helena Rubinstein - thanks to some overzealous airbrushing.

Demi - who split from Ashton after he was accused of cheating on her - has been the face of the cosmetics giant for a number of years and these latest shots show she's back to her best - albeit with a little help from Photoshop.

Despite the airbrushing, we're just pleased to see the actress back at work. Here's hoping she's feeling herself again.

Honestly, if you are going to airbrush someone to the degree that they hardly look human, why not just create a digitial model to begin with.

There was no need to drag Demi away from her whipped cream can to sit for the photographs. In the final product, she's barely there anyway.

She does NOT look half her age, people. If you'd had done what she had done to her face and body, you'd look good, too.

See her in daylight, without make-up and you definitely see the wrinkles and lines any 49 year old would have. But she's still a stunner. Let's gain the weight back shall we?

Did someone make a cyborg that looks like Demi? I would like one of me so she can go to work instead of me and I can watch tv and make pancakes with my cat.

What makes a mother in her 50's go upstairs and quote: 'Smoke an incense stick' or 'Sniff the gas from a whipped cream tin' ?? I think it's disgusting, good mothers don't fall apart and do disgusting teenage things whilst their kids are in the house! So much money and no idea!!

Why not jump on a plane to some poverty-stricken country and get a taste of what REAL people have to suffer: Abuse, starvation, I could write a list for hours....

And what does 'The Industry' do?? Reward her with a multi-milllion dollar cosmetic contract so others have to look at airbrushed pictures and believe: Doesn't she look young? Isn't she a wonderful role model? I don't thinks so.

Perfect faces, perfect Hollywood homes, perfect millions. Why are they all in such an unhappy state then?

I like it, she looks great!

But the pictures don't show what she REALLY looks like. We're seeing her as she want to be seen, not as she really is. Why are there so few in Hollywood who have the courage to say, "This is what I really look like, that me or leave me"

Britney Spears released her untouched photos...

Here is the thing, every magazine touches the pictures of models.... Even young girls get retouched to conform to an unreal beauty standard..

I wonder why people do not attack those ads, but they do so when it comes to Demi Moore? it is an industry wide issue

it's called lighting, makeup, eating foods rich in nutrients like Vitamin A, D, and minerals, and genetics...
annnnnnnd...get the f--- over it. look at a red carpet pic of her...not that different.
and work with a photog under the lights just once, it washes out flaws...SHOCK!
if we didn't erase our flaws, you'd all be on about that.
you'll hate whoever you can, however you can. because it's 2012 and you're hiding behind your keyboard.
well, her face is out there for you to judge. and judge you will.

I just don't get it...maybe it is me...I am 46...I take very good care of my health and my skin but when my photo is taken I look forty-ish...that is just fine with me! When I was 26 I LOOKED 26 and that was ok too...to think I might want to look 26 at age 46 is just silly. I like the way I have aged..I like the lines I have from smiling...it makes me look HUMAN. Why can't Ms Moore look at herself...she is attractive she is fine for her age. She does not need to be airbrushed into teenage hood....it looks robotic and un natural. I do believe that you should take care of your looks for yourself and your own peace of mind..but the person you are INSIDE changes with age and it should show on the outside...i think age makes you interesting, weathered, and it makes me want to sit down and chat with someone about their life experiences...no more photoshop please.

A "Bit" of photoshopping? the photo looks sooo unrealistic it looks like a completely computer generated image !!!
02:15 PM on 03/19/2012
This photo is unrealistic is it any wonder women have image problems. Even if you were 15 you wouldnt have skin like that, do these people think we are all thick or something.

the haggard lines in the original photo must have taken a long time to conceal, and excellent airbrushing
10:18 PM on 03/19/2012
what haggard lines. If you look any better at 49 lets see it

I think colin was saying that if she DIDN'T have haggard lines, then why bother airbrushing.
