Britain's Got Talent's Alesha Dixon: 'Simon Cowell 'Got Off' On Stealing Me From Strictly'

Alesha Dixon is adamant she was not forced to leave Strictly Come Dancing by Simon Cowell - but she does think the media mogul "got off" on stealing her from the BBC for Britain's Got Talent.

The new Britain's Got Talent judge was asked how she felt about Simon deliberately poaching her to cause controversy.

She tells The Mirror: "I'm sure he got off on that. But I'm a 33-year-old woman who makes her own decisions. It makes it sound like he stole me and I had no choice. I'm not a puppet."

But Alesha does admit that her mum and nan urged her to accept the offer.

The pop star also reveals she is constantly being wound up by David Walliams, who has been trying to set her up with every male contestant that comes on stage - but she's getting on great with Amanda Holden.

She adds that she did not see Simon until the launch of the show and the cameras are constantly rolling, so there is no time for off-the-record chats.

Alesha says: "The only time you get a break is when you go to the toilet."

Didn't watch it but taped it ... I can then watch just the entrants and NOT Walliams, Dixon, Holden and Cowell and of course all the adverts .... must say I don't like any of the judges this time apart from Cowell. Has Dixon cackled yet ? That mouth !

How do you know if the judges are any good if you did not watch them? Walliams was brilliant.

She is out of her element on BGT. We watched last night and twice she voted as to how Simon had been posturing and then the look on her face was priceless when he kept them on (man from Germany was the last she did this with). It's difficult to score someone when you don't have someone sitting next to you to look over and copy what they have written down.
