Ever played the ‘name the Star Wars memorabilia’ game? Here’s a time-saving tip: play the ‘name the non-Star Wars memorabilia’ game instead – it's much easier.

Since the '70s, the combined endeavours of the George Lucas’ merchandise factory and an endless army of devoted fans have branded everything from door knobs to pepper pots with Luke, Vader et al.

Still, there’s something extra impressive about sci-fi nut Tom Bigham’s Star Wars-themed electric guitars – particularly the one that lets you strum the Millennium Falcon like a Death Star laser blast.

The retired printer has spent 10 years making guitars out of various unwated items, including cricket bats and vinyl records.

“I look at the whole world as if it can be turned into a guitar. If I can get a neck on it and hide the electrics then I create it,” the 64-year-old told the Metro.

The man's a hero, basically. He're hoping he can perfect the ultimate guitar Han Solo! *guitar screech* Sorry, we couldn't help ourselves.
