Unexpectedly dramatic seems to be Interview magazine's current cover shoot motto.
First we had Katy Perry almost unrecognisable channeling Amy Winehouse's eyeliner and Liz Hurley's 1990s look and now we have Keira Knightley - she of the multiple period dramas - going for cheekbone overload on April's cover.

Commenters have pointed out that the look, shot by Mert & Marcus, seems to be a nod to Interview's own cover image of Diane von Furstenburg from March 1977 which you can see below:
