Our third great FA Cup semi-final goes back 22 years to Villa Park, where Steve Coppell and Kenny Dalglish, foes during many a battle between Manchester United and Liverpool, faced one another in the dugout.

Coppell's Crystal Palace had been turned over 9-0 in the league by Dalglish's eventual champions Liverpool earlier that season, but the teams' duel in the midlands sun was a more even and arguably more memorable affair.

A seesaw of a match in which the underdogs continued to bite back via Mark Bright, Gary O'Reilly and Andy Gray, the Reds were nevertheless expected to prevail.

But, after 120 minutes the fight was over and, as the Eagles’ Cup Final song stated - they were feeling Glad All Over.
