WATCH: One Direction Steal The Show On Australia's Big Night

The Logies Awards event is the biggest date on Australia's entertainment calendar, yet it was five boys from the UK who stole the show on Sunday evening - yes, One Direction did it again.

Simon Cowell's mop-haired quintet strode onto the red carpet, amidst screams and tears proving their world domination has spread even further than America, where both their album and first single went to number one.

The boys were all dressed for the warm weather, in summer blazers and pale trousers, all exept Zayn, who opted for a striking all-black ensemble.

They performed their debut hit What Makes You Beautiful, and also later presented an award.

But tears were flowing outside the arena, as more than 400 fans fenced off begged for tickets, some to no avail.

Audrey Enniss, 14, was being consoled by friends who also missed out on the hottest tickets in town.

"I just want to see my idols, I've been waiting for two years for this and for them to be here in Australia and they're right there and I can't see them...It's just so sad," 14-year-old Audrey Enniss told Melbourne's Herald Sun.

Other celebs at the bash included a newly-single Seal, planting a kiss on a glamorous Delta Goodrem, and Dannii Minogue, weathering the storm of the weekend's revelations that she had allegedly had an affair with her X Factor boss Simon Cowell, back in 2008.
