Perhaps proof that the Americans will always do it better, the US version of My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding is promising to explode onto the screen with one hell of a bang.

Featuring a topless catfight between Maid of Honour Diamond and a female wedding guest, the show promises to be as much of a hit across the pond as it has been here.

The footage, screened on TMZ, shows Diamond being pummelled by Mellie (a guest from the groom’s side) at a wedding in West Virginia.

Sources say the catfight broke out after Mellie began dissing the bride and groom’s union – at which point Diamond gets stuck in.

The first episode of My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding will air on TLC on April 29.

You can watch it in the UK on Discovery Real Time from May 9.

If this is all the TV people can offer these days then something is very wrong with the world, as someone as said it makes you turn off time to dust of the VCR and play some old tapes. Something I am not sure of how or when did Gypsy got to the USA never read or seen anything about then in the US, we know that they have been in Europe for a very long time but I may be very wrong these seem like those who live in what are called trailer parks. It is time that someone show the rich history of the Gypsy and they way of life, what is showen on TV are not Gypsy as I know them what you see is what has come from books and other things. Its great to call yourself a Gypsy and live the life that you or others think a Gypsy lives but is hard life but can be a very happy one. I wish you all that you would wish me three times.

Yes. I know it takes different people to make a World, but I still can't help feel embarrassed that as a human being, with all the problems we have in the World, we take (quality) time out to observe stuff like the above. The only silver-lining being that at least one feels better oneself perhaps.
