A photograph of Madonna taken in 1990 is to go up for sale at Bonhams in New York next month.

The provocative black and white photo was taken by Steven Meisel for the singer's book, Sex, but it never made the cut for the final edition.
A spokesperson from the auction house told the Daily Mail that "This is an absolutely stunning image and it is just a beautiful tone of grey. It is not just black and white it is grey and silvery".
It has been speculated that the photo could reach bids of up to £5,000 in auction on 8 May, when Madge's superfans try and get their hands on the coveted piece of artwork.
