Cher Lloyd is set to hit the US by storm

Cher Lloyd is set to take the US by storm with her hit single Want U Back.

Seems her US fans AKA ‘brats’ – their words, not ours – are super-excited for the arrival of the Geordie’s swagger jagger, with ‘Cher Lloyd US invasion begins’ trending on Twitter.

The star's sexy music video - where the mischievous star causes havoc in a local diner and ends up getting arrested - is up on YouTube, before the single hits US radio on May 7 and itunes on May 22.

Want U Back is taken from Cher's debut album Sticks and Stones.

One person who might not be rooting for Cher's overseas success is her former X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole, still reeling from Cher's cheeky quip that she'd only be up for a duet if there was no Auto-tune in sight.

Cheryl was today reported in the Mail, calling this "a slap in the face", saying she was disappointed after all her hard work to get Cher through the X Factor rounds.
