Jennifer Lopez On Baby Blues: 'I Thought My Babies Didn't Like Me'

PA

Jennifer Lopez has admitted that she thought her twins didn't like her when she felt low in the days after their birth.

The singer has revealed that seven to ten days after the arrival of twins Max and Emme in 2008 she had the 'baby blues'.

Jennifer - who had her babies with then-husband Marc Anthony - said she felt sad and depressed and did not know what was happening to her.

Wracked with self-doubt, she feared she wasn't bonding with the twins, and turned to a parenting manual for advice.

Speaking to Redbook magazine to promote the movie What to Expect When You're Expecting, Jennifer, 42, said:

"I remember after the babies were born, about seven to 10 days in, I was like, 'What is going on with me?' I felt sad and depressed and thought the babies didn't love me!"

"I actually remember picking up the book (What to Expect When You're Expecting) to try to see what was happening to me, and it said how you have this huge hormonal drop about seven to 10 days after you give birth. It's called the 'baby blues.' But I just thought they didn't like me!"

Aw - proof that even A-listers are just regular mums!

Did you go through the same as Jennifer? Did you not initially realise it was down to the 'baby blues'?
