Liverpool have officially unveiled their new kit for the 2012/13 season, as the club pay tribute to the 96 victims of the Hillsborough tragedy.

White has been done away in favour of gold by new kit manufacturer Warrior, recalling the Reds' their glorious history of the 1970s and 80s, while the overelaborate Anfield Gates crest replaced by the more traditional Liver bird.

Warrior replace adidas in the new kit deal Kenny Dalglish infamously eulogised in March. The club signed a deal with US-based Warrior Sports in January worth a potential £300m over six years.

Adidas returned to kitting out Liverpool in 2006 after Reebok had designed the Anfield clubs' garb for 10 years before that.
