Planet Earth Live - BBC1, 9pm

It's time to check up on those cute baby bears in Minnesota, the lions of the Masai Mara, the elephants of the nearby Samburu National Reserve and the meerkats of the Kalahari Desert.

A full hour of wonderful animal antics, presented by Richard Hammond and Julia Bradbury - and much (?) of it live.

The show also follow the progress of the macaque monkeys of Sri Lanka, the grey whales in the Pacific and the otters of the Amazon as they learn top survival skills.

Tales of Television Centre - BBC2, 9pm

As the BBC prepares to leave its ancestral home, this programme looks back at just a few of the unusual tales gathered from nearly 50 contributors who've worked inside the building.

The film, made by Richard Marson, a former Blue Peter editor and TV historian, features memorable moments from shows recorded at the Centre, as well as contributions from David Attenborough, Terry Wogan, Angela Rippon, Matt Baker, Zoe Ball, Greg Dyke and Sir David Frost.
