Frank Lampard's Euro 2012 Participation In Doubt After Pulling Up In England Training

Lampard Pulls Up In England Training

Frank Lampard is a doubt for England's European Championship squad after he pulled up in training on Tuesday.

The 33-year-old picked up a thigh injury and will be assessed by the Three Lions' medical team, before having a scan on Thursday, the Football Association said.

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has been placed on standby should the Chelsea midfielder be ruled out of the Euros.

Gareth Barry had to withdraw from the 23-man party after he tore a muscle in his lower abdomen in Saturday's 1-0 win over Norway in Oslo.

LAMPARD SCORES AGAINST FRANCE AT EURO 2004

Lampard has won 90 caps for England since making his debut in a friendly against Belgium at Sunderland's Stadium of Light in 1999, scoring 23 goals.

He has featured in two World Cups (2006 and 2010) and one European Championship (Portugal 2004), where he scored three of England's 10 goals at the tournament - including the opener against France.

England have not played a finals match without the West Ham United academy graduate since the 2002 World Cup quarter-final against Brazil.
