Sometimes you see such extreme examples of bad parenting that your brain cannot even begin to process the logic behind it, or how someone could ever conclude that it was a Good Thing To Do. So you simply look on in slack-jawed amazement and ask yourself WHY?
This is one of those occasions.
Here is a man on a motorbike in China. Behind his motorbike, he is towing a drinks crate. And in that drinks crate is a toddler.
The picture was taken by a passer-by in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, who posted it up on social networking websites saying: "When I first saw this bike coming down the road I thought he had a dog or something in the box and I thought, 'How cruel'.
"But when it got closer I could see it was a boy, no older than two and I was horrified."
Horrified, confused and shocked kind of sums us up too, but we shall refer back to our original question: WHY?
