Rihanna Evacuated After Hotel Fire

Rihanna found herself without the preverbial pot to pee in this morning when she was evacuated from her London hotel.

RiRi, along with the rest of the Corinthia Hotel's guests, were awoken in the wee hours when the fire brigade were called after a service lift burnt out.

Rihanna tweeted this picture of the Corinthia Hotel on London's Southbank

A spokesperson for the hotel on London's Southbank told The Huffington Post UK: "At approximately 6.30am, one of the service elevator motors burnt out. There was a slight discharge of smoke and because of our robust fire management policy, the alarms were activated and a full evacuation of the building was carried out.

"As a matter of procedure, the fire brigade were called to carry out full safety checks throughout the building. All guests were safely accounted for and were allowed back into the hotel soon after 7am."

Rihanna jumped in a London cab for shelter during the evacuation, continuing her quest for Boris Johnson (yeah, we know about politics) to make her the figurehead for London's public transport system.

We would LOVE to have seen the cabbie's face when she hailed him down.

A sleepy Rihanna tweeted alongside this snap: "Roamin da streets since 6am! Fyah in da telly #evacuationlife."

RiRi - who has long been a fan of the tube, taking it whenever she can on her London visits - was riding the roads of the capital in the taxi before being let back in the hotel.

What's next? The Routemaster? A Boris bike?
