A remarkable timelapse video of Earth from space has taken the web by storm.

Tomislav Safundžić cut various clips by Nasa astronauts into the film which has been seen by thousands of users since it was uploaded on Friday.

The footage was originally shot on the International Space Station.

In November Ron Garan, the NASA astronaut who returned in September from five-and-a-half-months on the ISS, said similar footage was "about as close as we can come to show what astronauts see in space."
