Sobbing and grovelling, a young boy begs a shopkeeper not to punish him after he was caught stealing.
The pitiful scene was captured on film and has now been posted on YouTube, where it has been viewed more than 20,000 times.

The footage shows the unnamed youngster pleading with the store assistant not to inform his father or ring the police.
The remorseful boy then apologises on film claiming he has stolen items from the store on three previous occasions, before repeating several times: "I will never steal in my life again."
