Cheryl Cole is facing the first hurdle in her rumoured new romance with Tre Holloway - the dancer's mother has warned the Girls Aloud star not to hurt her son.
Earlier this week, the Fight for This Love hitmaker sparked rumours she had well and truly moved on from ex-husband Ashley by stepping out with Tre, who she first met after performing with him on The X Factor in 2010.

They are said to have dined out in London twice this week, and a source told The Sun: "It's going well. They really like each other."
Speaking of one of the dinner dates, an insider added: "They are clearly very close. Several times Cheryl leaned in to him and touched his knee as he spoke. There is certainly a spark between them."
But Cheryl's potential new mother-in-law Shirley is already looking out for her boy, and has made a public plea to the singer not to mess with Tre.
She tells The Sun: "She might hurt him. She's been married before. I don't know Cheryl. I've only seen pictures on the internet. Tre said she was pretty big (in the U.K.). He's been dancing for her for a couple of years now, I think."

Shirley is also full of praise for her son and is adamant he would never cheat on a girlfriend.
She adds: "He wouldn't do that. That's not him. He has dated in the past in college and high school but it was nothing serious.
"He mentioned that one day last month they went somewhere. He never said she was his girlfriend. But he said, 'Oh, she likes me'. I got the feeling he was maybe quite into her."
Tre's mother is now keen to come face-to-face with the pop star, confessing: "Of course I'm curious to meet her. If this is a serious relationship then I'm looking forward to meeting her because I trust Tre's judgment.
"If he likes her, then she must be a good person."
Cheryl's new romance has also won the approval of her mother Joan Tweedy and brother Garry, the paper reports.
An insider claims, "Joan and Garry are happy she's met someone she thinks is great. They're hoping to meet him this month.
