Barcelona striker David Villa will be fined €3,000 by the Spanish Football Federation for paying tribute to his wife and children.
Spain striker Villa lifted his shirt up to show a message underneath that read: "Impossible without you." after he scored against Real Sociedad at the weekend.
Villa broke his leg in the Club World Cup in December last year and capped off his comeback performance with a goal in the Blaugrana's 5-1 defeat of the Basque side on Sunday.
The 30-year-old was also booked for his celebration, as Spanish football's new regulation governing goal celebrations is enforced.
Villa's punishment has been contrasted with that of José Mourinho's for poking former Barcelona assistant coach Tito Vilanova in the eye last year. The Portuguese coach had to cough up €600 and will be beside Vilanova, now Barça's full-time coach, on the touchline for Thursday night's Spanish Supercopa clash.
