The mother of murdered Baby P is believed to have been refused parole after serving her minimum sentence.
The Mirror is reporting that Tracey Connelly, 31, who was jailed for her role in the death of her son Peter, has been refused parole as she is deemed 'still a danger to the public'.
Baby Peter died in August 2007, following months of abuse. His mum was jailed alongside her boyfriend Steven Barker and his brother Jason Owen, after he was found dead in his cot in Tottenham, North London.
He had received more than 50 injuries.
While a Parole Board spokesperson said they would not comment on individual cases, the paper claims Connelly appeared at a prison hearing in June, alongside social workers, psychologists and jail staff.
Prisoners are only held beyond the term handed down to them if they are believed to be a danger to the public.
It is reported that Connelly will be eligible to re-apply for release next summer.
Earlier this month, Connelly's mum, Mary, 62, told The Sun that her daughter had apologised to her for her role in Peter's death.
"Tracey threw her arms around me and said, 'Mum, I'm ever so sorry'," said Mary.
"She's never done that before. It took me back. I kind of believe her. But I can really never forgive and I will definitely never forget. Even when she comes out I will still feel anger towards her."
