When Harry Redknapp was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, someone on Twitter opined car windows would be at half mast given the 65-year-old's penchant for giving interviews from an open window, usually on transfer deadline day.
It was the closest in-car press conference experience anyone has come close to, and amidst the madness of a summer or winter transfer deadline day "Redknapp" and "car window" jokes are inevitable.
And that day has come. Whereas the Queen gets two birthdays, another national treasure (in some journalists' eyes) gets two separate tributes on the final days of January and August.
