Shocking Video: Four-Year-Old Takes To Stage Pretending To Smoke A Cigarette

Toddlers and Tiaras - the controversial TV show from the States which follows the careers of pageant contestants, and their truly terrifying parents - reached new lows this week.

It trumped its previous horrors, such as children dressed as prostitutes and rumours of 'pageant moms' doping their children to perform better, by showing four-year-old Destiny taking to the stage dressed as Sandy from Grease - leather trousers, high heels, and fake cigarette to boot.

In the show, which is broadcast on American channel TLC, the little girl struts onto the stage dressed as 'bad' Sandy.

Her mum, Lisa, is shown encouraging her daughter onto the stage with the words, "Don't forget to smoke."

Lisa justifies her choice of get-up for Destiny in an interview on the show, saying: "You know, Sandy was a good girl. She didn't smoke either, but she used it for the image."

The judges were unimpressed, docking points for the inappropriate prop. But they were still keen on the toddler's take on leather-clad Sandy, awarding her 'Personality Supreme' for her efforts.
