American singer Anastacia appeared on this week's X Factor as a guest judge at the Glasgow auditions.

"I'm an honest judge, hopefully they will be really great and I won't have to say anything mean," she told viewers.

But the I'm Outta Love hitmaker, who's sold over 20m records worldwide, had no kind words for Loretto Ndego and her awful rendition of The Power Of Love: "You have the passion, you have the love, but did you hear yourself? It's not a bad thing but maybe for a record deal.."

However, 'the little lady with the big voice' was more pleased with stay at home mum 44-year-old Melanie Masson, who sang an incredibly powerful version of Janis Joplin's Cry Baby. She told her: "You killed it like that. It is never too late to have a record deal guuurl."
