Rihanna has shocked the world as she debuted a new short pixie crop at rehearsals for her MTV VMA performance earlier today.
She is set to perform new single Cockiness (Love It) at the awards ceremony tonight, where she is also up for five gongs including Video of The Year, Best Pop Video and Best Female Video.

And her new look is a drastic change for the star, who just days earlier was sporting tumbling long curls in London.
